1. About Us

We Are Local AI, Inc. ("We Are Local AI", "we", "us") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 39-5103394). We operate wearelocal.ai and coordinate help between neighbors in need, volunteers, and partner businesses.

2. What We Do; and Don't Do

We are a clearinghouse. We connect people who need help with volunteers and businesses who want to give it. We do not directly perform services, and we do not charge for services. Any actual work is provided by volunteers or partner businesses.

We do not guarantee that a request for help will be matched, that a specific volunteer or partner will be available, or that any particular outcome will result from a match.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to submit a request, volunteer, partner with us, or donate through this site. If you are requesting help on behalf of another person or household, you confirm that you are authorized to do so.

4. Your Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information on our forms.
• Use our site and services only for lawful purposes.
• Treat volunteers, partners, and neighbors with respect and honesty.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, hack, or misuse the site.
• Do not use information you receive through us to harass, solicit, or resell services.

5. Volunteers and Partners

Volunteers and partner businesses act on their own behalf, not as employees or agents of We Are Local AI. They are responsible for their own conduct, licensing, insurance, and any work they perform. We do not supervise, certify, background-check, or endorse individual volunteers or partners unless we specifically state otherwise in writing.

Recipients of help are responsible for evaluating whether a specific volunteer or partner is appropriate for their situation and for maintaining a safe environment during any visit.

6. Donations

Donations are processed by third-party payment providers. Donations are generally tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law; please consult your tax advisor. Donations are non-refundable except as required by law or clearly stated at the time of the gift.

7. Intellectual Property

The name "We Are Local AI", our logos, site design, and content are owned by We Are Local AI, Inc. You may not copy, modify, or use our brand or content for commercial purposes without written permission. You may share links to our pages freely.

8. Third-Party Services

Our site may link to or rely on third-party services (for example, form processing, email delivery, or payment processors). We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.

9. Disclaimers

Our site and services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any information provided through the site is complete or accurate.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, We Are Local AI, Inc., its board, employees, and volunteers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the site, our services, or any interaction with volunteers, partners, or other users. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless We Are Local AI, Inc., its board, employees, and volunteers from any claim or demand arising from your misuse of the site or services, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of another person.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to our site or services at any time, with or without notice, if we believe these terms have been violated or if continued access could harm our community.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wisconsin.
